Work with me

Three ways in. One way to start.

Whichever of these ends up being right for you, it begins the same way — a free thirty-minute call where we work out whether this is a fit at all. No pitch. If I'm not the right person, I'll tell you, and I'll usually tell you who is.

The fit call

A real conversation, not a screening. Where the business is, what's actually costing you, and whether the two of us working together makes sense.

  • Phone or Zoom, your choice
  • No preparation required
  • An honest yes or an honest no

One session

Strategy intensive

Ninety minutes on the one thing that's stuck. You leave with a written plan and a strategy, not a page of notes. For people who don't need a three-month relationship — they need a decision made properly, once.

  • Should I go independent, and what does the math say
  • Pricing, or a comp structure that's quietly bleeding
  • A lease, a build-out, or an offer on the table

Three months

One-on-one mentorship

The main thing. Three months of working on your business together, on your real numbers, with someone who has run both models and sold one of them.

  • A one-hour call every week — twelve over the three months, just the two of us
  • Systems built with you — hiring, onboarding, comp, retail, retention
  • Email between calls, answered inside 24 hours. Templates, SOPs and plan documents when you need them

Five clients at a time. That is the entire roster, and it isn't a marketing device — it's the number of people one person can actually know well enough to be useful to.

On money: what any of this costs is a conversation, not a price tag on a web page. We'll talk about it on the call, once we both know what you actually need. Nobody gets quoted before that.

What we actually work on

The unglamorous things that decide whether you make money.

Not mindset. Not a content calendar. The operating machinery underneath the salon.

01

The math

What each service actually earns after product and time. Where your break-even really sits. Whether renting beats commission for you specifically — with your rent, your column, your hours — instead of what somebody on Instagram says.

02

The people

Pay structures that reward the right behaviour instead of quietly eating your margin. Hiring, onboarding, and what standards look like when they're written down. How to hold a line without turning into someone your team dreads.

03

The systems

The documented, boring, repeatable things that let a salon run when you're not standing in it — retail, retention, pre-book, the numbers you check weekly and what you do when one of them moves.

How it goes

What actually happens after you book.

  1. You pick a time straight off Jessica's calendar. It's her real availability, so nothing bounces back.
  2. You leave a name and a number. That's the whole form. Phone or Zoom, whichever you'd rather.
  3. You talk for thirty minutes. Not a discovery call in disguise — an actual conversation about the business.
  4. You get a straight answer. Whether it's a fit, which of the three makes sense, and what it would look like. Then you decide, on your time.

Where it happens

On a screen, or standing in your salon.

Most of this works beautifully over video, and Jessica has taught stylists across nine countries — distance has never been the hard part.

But some things want to be seen. A floor plan that isn't working. A team that needs to hear it from someone who isn't you. A walkthrough before you sign a lease you can't get out of. For those, in-person sessions happen at Jessica's office here in Florida, and she will travel to you as well. Travel is arranged separately, and we'll sort it out on the call.

Before you ask

Fair questions.

What does it cost?

We'll talk about it on the call. That isn't evasion — it's that the right answer depends on which of the three you need, and neither of us knows that yet. What I can promise is you'll never be surprised by a number, and there's no pressure attached to a free conversation.

Is the first call really free, or is it a sales pitch?

Really free, and really thirty minutes. I take five clients at a time, so I'm not trying to talk everyone into working with me — I'm trying to find the handful of people I can genuinely help. Sometimes that means telling someone they don't need me yet.

I'm not an owner. I'm a stylist thinking about renting a booth.

Then you're exactly who a lot of this is for. Going independent means quietly becoming a business owner without anyone teaching you the business part. I've been on both sides of that lease — as the person renting the chair out, and as the person deciding whether to take one.

Do you only work with people in Florida?

No. Video works fine, and always has. Florida is just where the in-person sessions happen, so it's easy if you're nearby — and she'll travel if the job warrants it.

Are you going to tell me to go independent?

No. I've owned a commission salon and I own a rental salon, and I don't think either one is the answer — I think one of them is the answer for you, and the math tells us which. Plenty of stylists are better off staying exactly where they are with a better deal.

I want to teach and get on stage. Is that something you do?

Yes, and it's one of my favourite conversations. I went from behind the chair to running education for a global colour brand, so I know how that path actually opens — what brands look for, how you get considered, and what to build before you ask.

Start with thirty minutes.

No pitch, no obligation, no price tag waiting at the end of it. Just a conversation about your business with someone who has run one.
